What is a roadmap?

In order to understand the role of a product roadmap, we must align on product vision and product strategy.

A product vision sets the tone for our product. It is the essence of what we hope to achieve with our product and the aspiration for what we are trying to build.

A product strategy sets the direction for achieving our vision. Our strategy informs every decision we make, and keeps us aligned in the same direction by determining what problems we need to solve in order to go in the direction we want to go.

Our product roadmap is our visual, step-by-step plan for executing on our product strategy.
